at the location detailed in the job post. Eaton’s CPDI OPS
Operations division is currently seeking a Test Technician. At our
Raleigh, NC location they engineer, manufacturer, and ship products
related to electrical power distribution to 6 different segments.
Some of those include Utilities, Institutions, Aerospace, and
Residential. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.
The core hours are 6:00am-2:30pm. Below are some of the outstanding

and business considerations. What you’ll do: The Test Technician I
will perform testing, troubleshooting and repairs on single phase
and three phase medium voltage UPS systems In this function you
will: • You will exhibit a strong adherence to quality by
continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the
position. You will ensure that all products and parts adequately
meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move throughout the
production process and perform quality checks as instructed. • You
will read electronic schematics to ensure products meet defined
specifications • You will report any Non-conformance items by
utilizing our Quality Management Guidelines • You will recommend
modifications and improvements to enhance the products for quality,
reliability, manufacturability and cost effectiveness • You will
communicate with Production Associates, Quality Engineering
Technician, Manufacturing Engineers and Test Engineers to resolve
daily production and warranty issues • You will check maintain
equipment to ensure compliance with ISO 9000:2000 standards • You
will identify and implement corrective actions for the repair,
replacement and calibration of laboratory tools and manufacturing
equipment • You will use the principles of 5S to ensure a clean and
organized work area Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications: Basic (Required) Qualifications: • High school
diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required • A
minimum of one year of work experience in electronics with testing
and troubleshooting skills Eaton will not consider applicants for

Preferred Qualifications: • Associate’s Degree in electronics from
an accredited school • Previous experience with DC battery currents
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office Applications Skills: •
Basic knowledge of Electronic Test Measurement Devices •
Manufacturing systems knowledge (KANBAN, JIT, Production
scheduling) • Knowledge of switchboard and switchgear operations;
electrical and electronic devices • Demonstrated ability to take
and give direction • Ability to use good judgment and problem
solving skills to make informed decisions • Good interpersonal and
presentation skills • Ability to communicate effectively across all
levels • Basic computer knowledge of Windows based operating
systems and programs • Ability to read and understand formal,
informal drawings, and/or electronic schematics • Ability to
completely test and troubleshoot electronic products • Ability to
work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to
different areas or local plants as needed • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish colored wiring • Ability to stand for
extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and
squatting is inherent to this position.
