Senior Inside Sales Leader - Data Center Group, Director

Lenovo is seeking a high-performing and passionate leader to head our Data Center Group inside sales organization. This person will be responsible for generating sales and working across multiple segments, in both the US and Canadian markets, including: Corporate, Public Sector, Channel; Technical Solutions and Services. This individual will manage and lead a large organization consisting of Inside Sales Managers, Hybrid Sales Representatives, Inside Sales Representatives and Sales Support Representatives with a focus on selling the entire Data Center Group product portfolio, services, and solutions to clients through inbound and outbound methods. This position will be based in our worldwide headquarters in Morrisville, NC.

The ideal candidate is a strong sales leader, who thrives in a fast paced environment, has an entrepreneurial spirit and insists on the highest standards in leading and driving customer satisfaction. The Inside Sales Leader is hands-on, regularly engaging with both managers and individual contributors during key parts of the sales process to win and retain accounts, and is committed to developing and driving a high-performance sales organization while delivering exceptional Customer Experience.

This position will report to the President of North America DCG Sales.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop sales strategy and set aggressive goals to grow key opportunity areas where we compete
  • Attract, hire, develop and retain top sales talent
  • Create and implement sales programs and tools that motivate teams to perform at their highest levels.
  • Ensure 100% of our customers receive best in class Customer Experience
  • Drive strategy to increase pipeline opportunities.
  • Build complex sales strategy to ensure long term and short term goals, objects and quotas are met.Position Requirements


    To be considered, you must possess the following basic qualifications:



    • 5+ years of sales leadership in technology sales (inside and outside).
    • 7+ years of previous field (outside) sales experience, combined with inside sales experience, and cross segment experience
    • Demonstrated Data Center sales experience in Server, Storage, Hyper Converged, Networking and Technical Sales & Solutions


      The ideal candidate would possess the following preferred experience & qualifications:



      • Demonstrated success in sales leadership in technology sales (inside and outside) within the IT industry.
      • Excellent business acumen, understanding of P&L and E/R and ability to run a sales cadence.
      • BS or BA degree
      • Demonstrated leadership, professional presence, & drive for results.
      • Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and ability to influence others.
      • Passion, commitment and exceptional team player aptitude are critical to the success in this role
      • Demonstrated experience in showing quarter over quarter growth in sales revenue
