Job Description:

Daly Seven Hotels, an Award Winning Hotel Management & Development Company, is looking for a Regional Director of Sales to sell for our Holiday Inn Express, and Fairfield Inn & Suites, Richmond - Short Pump. The Regional DOS is responsible for revenue production for the multiple hotels, meeting or exceeding planned revenue objectives for RevPAR, occupancy, and average daily rate (ADR). Manages all areas of sales according to brand and company standards. Position Requirements Essential Functions:

  • Implement & direct the properties' sales activities in accordance with the Marketing Plan
  • Coordinate service activities related to the sales function to maximize customer satisfaction & overall profitability
  • Direct the reporting & appraising of results against planned objectives
  • Control dates, availability, & rates on guest rooms & function space Design & propose programs to meet client needs
  • Negotiate with client to achieve maximum profit while satisfying client needs
  • Coordinate transient & group room commitments to ensure proper market mix
  • Review sales statistics & market analysis to formulate policy, determine client needs, occupancy potential, & rates desired
  • Review package plans, special sales activities, promotions, public relations activities, & advertising materials
  • Salvage accounts threatening cancellation & resolve problems
  • Contact customers in-house to promote good will & foster additional business, repeat bookings, & referrals
  • Follow up on progress of groups booked, such as room night pick up, rooming lists, & cut-off dates with the Front Office Management to insure maximum occupancy on a daily basis
  • Enhance the property's community image & stay abreast of competition, new developments, & sales methods & techniques in the hospitality industry to maximize profitability
  • Conduct &/or attend meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among company employees & to promote maximum morale, productivity, & efficiency
  • Prepare reports to develop a more informative data base for improved management decision-making & critical evaluation of work activities
  • Perform all accountabilities in a timely & efficient manner, following established company policy & projecting a favorable image of the company to achieve objectives, public recognition, & acceptance
  • Foster a cooperative & harmonious working climate conducive to maximum employee morale & productivityJob Requirements:Educational/Vocational Experience: Bachelor's degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or Marketing. A combination of vocational sales training &/or on-the-job training may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.Essential Skills: Requires familiarity with applicable franchise front desk standards & procedures Requires knowledge, skill, & ability in hotel/resort sales, to include the development of sales goals, budgeting, forecasting, development of marketing plan, design of client programs, knowledge of room rates, function space rates, & availability, & knowledge of all market segments. Requires management/supervisory skills & excellent communication skills. Must possess ability to professionally represent the property both to the guests & to the surrounding communityBenefits:
