This position is responsible for accurately and timely end to end
processing of the bi-weekly, monthly and supplemental payrolls for
associates in 25+ states. --Maintain thorough knowledge of FLSA
regulations, state specific payroll laws, tax requirements and
company entitlement policies. ----Make recommendations for
procedure and workflow improvements and drive to implementation.
Work with associates, peers and leadership to resolve complex pay
related problems providing excellent customer services skills.
----Participate in HR and Bank initiatives providing payroll
perspective. --Provide insight into proposed processing or workflow
changes, etc. --Test data in HRMS after upgrades and provide
documented feedback. --Work with other HR partners and other
departments to build good relationships.
Basic Qualifications:Associate degree and at least 4 years of
payroll experience.-Or-High school diploma or GED with at least 6
years of payroll experience. Additional Requirements:? Thorough
knowledge of federal and state regulations related to pay including
tax. ? Experience with web-based HR information systems, including
time and attendance.? Analytical and problem solving skills.?
Attention to detail with high level of accuracy.? Strong
organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and
work under tight time constraints.? Ability to identify critical
issues, escalate and manage appropriately.? Effective communication
skills, both oral and written.? Ability to work effectively with
internal and external partners; collaborative and team-focused.?
Technical aptitude and strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
and Access.? Ability to handle confidential and proprietary
information.? Payroll experience within a large organization in
multiple states. ? Strong customer service skills.Other Preferred
Qualifications:Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)Technical report
writing skills (Cognos and Business Intelligence)Accounting
