Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the companys financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the companys shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.

Its an exciting time to be a part of Wells Fargos Enterprise Finance and Stakeholder Relations Group Portfolio Management Office (EF&SR GPMO) team. This newly created position will contribute to expanding our shared services operations to build out Resource Capacity and Talent Management capabilities. The role will help evolve our resource management capabilities to ensure effective resource utilization to optimize program and project performance in support of delivery goals for our business and our customers. In addition, the role will build programs to optimize EF&SR GPMO team member performance and development.

The position will report into the Shared Services Business Support Manager within the EF&SR GPMO organization.


Resource Capacity

Build and evolve internal processes to efficiently manage demand and capacity for project management resources within the EF&SR GPMO, and partner with other project management delivery groups to fulfill resource needs. Support both short term resource fulfillment and strategic capacity planning. Ensure resource assignments align to policy and value proposition.

  • Develop and establish process for capacity management, leveraging EPM Tool reporting
  • Analyze and manage group portfolio level staffing and cost
  • Partner with program/project managers to design and construct execution structures for large, complex, cross-functional projects
  • Develop and maintain engagement models for project teams to share resources and engage EPMS team or other GPMOs as applicable
  • Execute resource assignments according to policy leveling requirements and utilization
  • Ensure resource utilization across the GPMO matching skills to needs
  • Analyze profitability related to staffing of the GPMO
  • Monitor staffing levels and future resource demand compared to approved staffing model

    Talent Management

    • Support the on boarding, training, and development needs of the EF&SR GPMO team members.
    • Partner with HR, EPMO and business groups to implement enterprise-defined standard evaluation of PM roles
    • Partner with HR and Project Team leadership to perform regular reviews of project management resources in relation to career path progression
    • Ensure inclusion of Enterprise project management performance objectives into performance management plans
    • Partner with HR to design GPMO specific objectives to include in performance management plans
    • Review GPMO resource utilization and engagement data in partnership with EPMO to identify opportunities for improvement
    • Design rotational opportunities across GPMO to provide development and career growth
    • Facilitate recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding process across GPMO
    • Coordinate partner survey process to collect feedback for project management resource performance

      Required Qualifications

      • 6+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services
