Our firm has been retained by Sears Contract to conduct a search for a Project Manager. Sears Contract is a family-owned, commercial drywall and metal stud contractor. With both large- and small-scale commercial metal stud construction, Sears Contract works in many areas, including corporate centers, retail malls, educational institutions, churches, data centers, healthcare, hospitality, and high-rise office and residential buildings. The company has offices in Raleigh, Charlotte, and Wilmington. Reporting to the Director of Operations, a Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of multiple drywall projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively. Responsibilities include: Coordinate and manage all aspects of drywall construction projects, from conception to completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources. Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on all projects. Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Manage and supervise project team members, including subcontractors and vendors. Identify and resolve project issues and risks, and escalate as needed. Provide regular project status updates to management, general contractor, owner, etc. Conduct regular, weekly site visits and inspections to monitor progress, safety and quality. Ensure that all project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients. Conduct formal post-job reviews and provide objective productivity feedback to estimating and lessons learned. Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field. 3+ years of experience managing construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes and best practices. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
