The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is seeking candidates that have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a commitment to serving others. This Maintenance Worker position will focus on providing exceptional experiences for our park patrons by serving as a member of the Athletic Field Maintenance Unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Athletic Field Maintenance Technician will help maintain and repair City athetic field property by performing the following duties:

• Grooming, marking, painting, and proper setup for games, practices and tournaments.
• Assist with the following landscaping tasks: mowing, edging, blowing, and removal and installation.
• Assist in field renovation.
• Repair field fence issues.
• Litter and trash removal.
• Repair, maintain, and clean comfort stations. Assist City in cleanup and repair during inclement weather situations which may require working extended hours during these events.
  Typical Qualifications
  Education
  High School Diploma or GED
  Experience
  Six months of relevant experience is required, and the ability to operate standard grounds equipment is required.
  Computer Skills
  Familiarity with basic use of computers.
  Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
  A valid Class "C" NC Drivers License
  Additional Information
  The employee must frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds, while performing the duties of the job. The employee is also frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
