Our mission is to empower our clients with data-driven decision-making, ensuring operational efficiency and sustainability.Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Principal Data Scientist to lead our data science initiatives, driving innovation and developing robust analytical solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, Python programming, and deploying Large Language Model (LLM) applications. This role is crucial for advancing our predictive analytics capabilities and enhancing how we deliver insights to clients in the pulp and paper industry.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy data science models to analyze large datasets from OSIsoft PI and other industrial sources.
  • Implement and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) for applications in data-driven reporting, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. Experience deploying RAG applications is highly preferred.
  • Utilize Python and various data analytics tools to extract, clean, and analyze time-series and structured/unstructured data.
  • Work closely with software engineers and data analysts to optimize algorithms and integrate machine learning models into production workflows.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and statistical modeling to identify trends, inefficiencies, and operational improvements.
  • Build and maintain machine learning pipelines for real-time and batch processing of industrial data.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their data challenges and develop tailored solutions to improve their decision-making processes.
  • Stay updated on advancements in AI, machine learning, and data analytics to continuously enhance our service offerings.Qualifications & Skills:
    • 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in Python and related data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
    • Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI's GPT, Hugging Face transformers, or similar.
    • Strong expertise in data engineering and working with industrial time-series databases (OSIsoft PI, AVEVA, or similar).
    • Experience developing and deploying machine learning models in cloud and on-premise environments.
    • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices, MLOps, and deploying AI solutions in a production setting.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights.Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience in the pulp and paper industry or other manufacturing sectors preferred.
      • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
      • Background in natural language processing (NLP) and AI-powered automation tools.
      • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.What We Offer:
