Job Description:

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Minimum requirements High School Diploma or GED
Language Skills: Must speak English fluently, Spanish is a
plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Mathematical Skills: Basic Math
Computer Skills: Basic Outlook, Word, and Excel
Essential Functions
--- Provide safe working environment for BRC crews, subcontractors,
and others.
--- Monitor material needs daily for jobs
--- Travel 3-8 months of the year
--- Act in a positive and professional manner.
--- Thoroughly review job file and shop drawing with the Dept. Head
and Foreman including the scope of work, materials ordered and
delivery schedule, budget for labor productions (man days) and job
site contact for each job.
--- Ensure that proper safety and equipment is on the job and used
in the proper manner. Construction Manager needs to coordinate
these needs with the Dept. Head but is ultimately responsible.
--- Measure and coordinated with needed staff on all SMS
requests.
--- Review jobs on site with Foreman to create a plan to complete
project within the man day budget. Work with Foreman daily to
accomplish the plan.
--- Supervise and support Foreman everyday about safety, quality
and labor production. Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness and
daily housekeeping.
--- Ensure that all materials received are counted and compared to
purchase order. This may be delegated to the Foreman or others;
however, Construction manager is responsible.
--- Make sure on-site equipment is monitored and maintained, such
as oil changes on generators, belts on cutters, etc. Notify garage
of any broken or defective equipment before returning. Construction
Manager may delegate this to the job site Foreman but is ultimately
responsible.
--- Communicate with Dept. Head /Service Manager every day
regarding job progress, field problems, technical questions,
etc.
--- Prepare and submit daily inspection reports.
--- Responsible for the overall safety and quality of each job.
This includes checking for water tightness, tools left on roof, and
ensuring job site is complete and has been cleaned up properly.This
can be delegated to Foreman, but the Construction Manager is
responsible in coordinating punch list and job close out before
crew leaves job site for the last time.
--- Review job performance with Dept. Head. regarding safety,
quality and budget when job has been completed.
--- Attend all coordination planning meetings.
--- Supervise crew on job sites.
Physical Demands
--- Requires driving to and from job sites.
--- Requires standing for extended periods of time.
--- Requires climbing ladders, scaffolds or stairways.
--- Requires considerable use to arms, legs and moving your whole
body in order to climb, lift, balance, walk. And handle equipment
and materials.
--- Requires use of abdominal and lower back muscles to support
part of body repeatedly or continuously over time with giving out
to fatigue.
--- Requires the ability to see at close range
--- Requires repetitive movement, bending, twisting, kneeling,
crouching, stooping or crawling.
--- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift and carry items weighing
up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Work Environment
Requires working in extremely bright or inadequate light
conditions, in very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32
degrees F) temperatures, includes exposure to sounds and noise
levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
