The EH&S Lead is responsible for coordinating field personneland providing EH&S oversight of the safety program for Service projects,warehousing, training facility, and administration and program procedureswithin the EH&S program. Along with that team, you will closely collaboratewith all the product line heads closely to ensure safe compliantoperations.



Responsibilities include:

• Abilityto work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative, project environment.
• Participateand assist with ergonomic assessments, job hazard analyses, training for FirstResponders, wellness, and health promotions.
• PromoteSafety Culture of "Zero Harm" to ensure all team members are owners of safetywithn the business.
  
  How You Will Make an Impact
  
  Thisposition reports directly to the Head of Grid technologies Service NorthAmerica out of Selma, North Carolina. The position is not remote and mustreport to the Selma Training facility.
  
  Manageall operational aspects of the onsite EHS program as part of an IntegratedManagement System.
  
  Provenleadership that drives EHS as the cornerstone of operations.
  
  Collaboratewith internal and external key stakeholders to drive improvements that meet orexceed objectives for the business.
  
  Developand execute initiatives to reduce employee risk, improve environmentalperformance all while aligning with the long-term goals of the organization.
  • Providedirection for the Emergency Medical Technicians and Emergency Response Team.
  • Experiencein Occupational Health.
    What You Bring
    • 7+years in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS role associated with Constructionproject safety. Experience directlyrelated to high voltage substation or power generation industry is stronglypreferred.
    • 7+years of direct experience with in-depth knowledge related to ISO 9001, 14001and 45001. Proven ability toindependently develop and drive the strategic EHS direction for theorganization.
    • Abilityto work in a collaborative environment across all disciplines within theorganization including operations, maintenance, human resources as well ascontracted services.
    • BSdegree in a technical field required with a preference - master's degree in anEngineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience in EHSand operational heavy manufacturing.
    • Experiencein root cause assessments, hazardous waste management, training, quality, andcustomer interfaces highly desired.
    • Experiencein Transmission and Distribution projects is required.
    • Strongexperience with computers and Microsoft Office software.
    • Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need forcurrent or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energyemployees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
