Description of Work
This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement
benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work
an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for

This temporary position is located in Raleigh, NC - Wake
County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.00 (Based on education and/or
years of relevant work experience reflected on the
application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the NC Department of
Adult Corrections Purchasing and Logistics Division. This position
is located at 200 Leagan Drive Raleigh, NC 27699.
Salary $16-$20 depending on qualifications Public Safety and its
affiliates to include but not limited to buses. trucks, semi's,
vans and cars. Will verify that vehicles are properly decaled and
lettered before being used by an individual or unit. This position
is responsible for the preparation of vehicles being transferred to
surplus status. Decals must be carefully stripped from vehicles,
security screens, radios disconnected and removed, and systems for
electric doors and windows re-engaged. Position will directly
install and/or supervise inmates during installation of radio and
security component t in prison inmate transport vehicles. Supervise
in mates in measuring, cutting, and other methods in a manner to
install radios, side window security, rear window security with
step, and GPS installation on board each transport vehicle.
Completion of a radio and security package for a transport vehicle,
this position will inspect installation to ensure it meets required
standards Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in
electronic skills, computers and multiple software applications
with microcomputers, mobile data computers, and networking
applications. Familiarity with the installation, maintenance, and
repair of telecommunications equipment switching equipment, modems
mobile data computers, multiple frequency transceivers, a variety
of test equipment, arena arrays, and a working knowledge of radio
networks and applications programs. Ability to read and comprehend
technical reference manuals and a working knowledge of FCC rules
and regulations relating to the installation, maintenance, and
operations of radio transmitting and receiving equipment. Able to
operate the following equipment: frequency counter, calculator,
power meters, frequency generators, I FR test set, spectrum
analyzer, hand tools, multi-meters, power tools and service
monitors. Must have a valid NCDL This posting is for two vacancies

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Education and/or experience in the performance of a variety of
manual tasks that is directly related to the job and consistent
with accepted practices of the trade equivalent to one year of
