Our client is actively seeking a talented Salesforce Project Lead to work at their location in Durham, NC. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility to go permanent with our client.

Job Overview:

The Global Salesforce Project Lead will work closely with internal partners to ensure the Customer Solutions, Sales and Global Marketing organizations' needs are understood and met. As the liaison supporting all global affiliates, a primary focus will be on managing a relationship between IT and the business to support prioritization of projects and direct IT strategy that provides a maximum return on investment.

This individual will leverage their expertise and experience as well as industry best practices to successfully design and deliver solutions to support commercial processes with a primary focus on Salesforce-based applications. The individual will be engaged in new Salesforce CRM implementations and rollouts learning new tools and technologies. Additionally, as a trusted advisor, and this individual will seek continuous improvement opportunities.

This is a key position that is involved as a point person for all Salesforce projects and initiatives supporting our commercial business. They must fully understand the capabilities and functionality of Salesforce and be able to oversee and deliver all changes throughout the process from understanding requirements, relaying them to others, and watching for mistakes until all is live.

This role engages directly with business leaders to understand their needs and converts them to delivery of solutions available via Salesforce by partnering with 3rd party Salesforce implementation partners. This is a key position that is involved as a point person for all Salesforce projects and initiatives. This role is the primary business contact for all Salesforce requests from all our departments. They must fully understand the capabilities and functionality of Salesforce.

This role is similar to a Salesforce Techno Functional Lead or a Lead Salesforce Business Systems Analyst. A hands-on, experienced certified sales cloud consultant would do well in this role. Our current work is approximately 80% sales cloud, 10% service cloud, 10% marketing cloud. There will be integrations, single sign on, validation and testing with multiple systems including SAP.

This role engages directly with business leaders to understand their needs and turns them in to reality. They will translate business needs to technical requirements and handle long term management of global Salesforce initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivers hands-on technical Salesforce implementation
Drives global long-term Salesforce initiatives
Provides system change recommendations
Create process, system, and data maps for applications. Work with users to gather and document requirements for new and existing applications. Write Functional Specifications for the development teams. Perform testing and coordinate testing with end users.
Design and/or implement state-of-the-art, efficient and cost-effective solutions that can be reused by other global or local business area. Provide training and develop training materials for key users.
Manage process of selecting new solutions, RFP's, vendor demos and evaluations and final selection along with Implementation and support of the new solution.
Prepare project plans and schedules for system/application deployments, upgrades, and or fixes by following SDLC. Manage change control process and release management cycle for applications
Coordinate activities with our third party support organization to ensure adherence to expected service levels
Provide training and develop training materials for key users.
