Your Role and Responsibilities

The Security Services Garage Facilitator will be responsible for preparing the team for the Garage Sessions with clients, conducting meetings with clients and IBM experts to ensure successful execution and conducting Garage Sessions with clients in such a manner that enables concrete outcomes and value to IBM and our clients. This role acts as a leader, navigator and diplomat to steer a group of people to achieve their meeting goals. The Garage Facilitator extracts the collective insight, knowledge, wisdom and experience of the group and use it to meet the goals of the garage sessions.

This domain includes driving the garage agenda within the respective competency segment, such as, Security Strategy, Identity and Access Management, Threat Management, Cloud Security and OT Security as well as others as they are developed. The Garage Facilitator is the Garage Team leader who is responsible for determining the appropriate IBM and client participants, setting the agenda for the session and understanding which facilitation tools (mural, Trello, etc.) to utilize and leverage. They are required to have an in-depth understanding and business acumen of the client's respective industry as well as the client's business goals and objectives. This would include leading multi-disciplined teams, and integrating products and services required to facilitate a complete meeting for the client.



The Garage Facilitator must be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of facilitation skills, ability to listen and extract information from meeting participants and lead a meeting over several day span while keeping participants engaged and contributing to each exercise. The Garage Facilitator must have excellent organizational and planning skills as well as the ability to translate and connect issues communicated by the client to solutions that can be answered by the IBM Security portfolio.



The ideal candidate will be able to have strong collaboration and co-creation skills along with the ability to document and understand the Industry POV as well as the POV of the respective client in their journey to improve their security posture and maturity. In addition, the ideal candidate with display the following traits: Listen first - Be problem driven and not solution or technology driven; ability to connect the dots between disparate thoughts across business and technology domains; have "Innovation DNA" and not be attached to the status quo. Be willing to test new approaches, to accept failure as a way to learn and improve; and delight the client with an amazing experience.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

At least 3 years of experience in a facilitator or related role

At least 5 years of experience working in projects related to Garage or Design Thinking

At least 1 year of experience working across diverse teams to facilitate solutions

Experience using tools and techniques (Mural, Trello, etc.)

Readiness to travel 25% annually
