We are currently seeking a Change Management Consultant to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).

The Change Management Consultant will work collaboratively with the client and team members and be a leader on the project. The Change Management Consultant will be responsible for performing, delegating and managing the activities within the project team and working closely with the client. He/she will actively participate in the development and delivery of quality management services and associated deliverables.

The Change Management Consultant will lead an Organizational Change Management (OCM) team and play a key role in the successful implementation and adoption of an organizational redesign and transformation. The Change Management Consultant must apply change management strategies and methods to meet business, schedule, and budget objectives. This person will focus on the people side of change - including changes to business processes, job roles and organizational structures. The primary focus will be creating and implementing organizational change management plans that minimize user resistance and maximize user engagement. The Change Management Consultant will work to drive adoption and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization such that business results are achieved. It will be important for the Change Management Consultant to maintain a broad understanding of project activities and processes, and to apply a structured organizational change management approach and methodology to help ease the impact to personnel.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Client relationship and expectation management including working daily with key client leadership
  • Develop client deliverables in accordance with project requirements and company documentation standards
  • Provide recommendations to the client on critical business and project decisions
  • Develop the OCM Approach and Strategic plan for a large organization
  • Execute the OCM Plan and track progress
  • Create and maintain the OCM Project Schedule
  • Conduct stakeholder analyses and assessments
  • Understand client's organization and change management issues, explain the factors involved and shape organizational solutions to deliver value to the client
  • Help re-align the organization, its people, and their actions with critical business changes
  • Develop surveys, newsletters, and other communication materials as needed
  • Support status reporting requirements and timelines
  • Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the system and business changes
  • Ensure that all project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicable
  • Create and sustain a culture that encourages high performance of individuals and teams
  • Perform periodic assessment activities
  • Assist with workforce management (hiring, scheduling, staff orientation)
  • Participate in meetings and communicate complete and accurate project status reports, risks and issues to the Client Partner and Client, as appropriate
  • Participate in project and other stakeholder meetings, as needed
  • Develop and submit reports as needed to the client and federal government (as required)
  • Manage, coordinate, and write OCM Deliverables and manage OCM team, including:

o Manage and coordinate OCM Deliverables

o Mentor team members on OCM activities including development, maintenance, and tracking

o Mentor client project teams in understanding OCM activities

  • Manage, coordinate, and write procurement documents for state government
  • Manage, coordinate, and measure business process improvement activities for Medicaid agencies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years work experience or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Organizational Change Management Lead
  • Minimum 3 years of experience on Medicaid or Major Health Care Payer projects
  • Ability to engage at the executive leadership level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as formal presentation for executive audience

Preferred Skills:

  • Prosci or equivalent Change Management Professional certification
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization - strong organization behavior knowledge
  • Five or more years' experience training, guiding, mentoring project team members
  • Understanding of State procurement processes
  • Understanding and experience with Health and Human Services business processes
  • Experience effectively engaging in training junior level staff
  • Ability to write meaningful reports and plans
  • Ability to communicate difficult concepts to technical and non-technical staff
  • Ability to communicate succinctly and accurately in written and verbal English
