As UX Writer you will report into Extreme's Head of Design.You will be responsible for creating clear, concise, consistent content for our platform UI. You will drive cohesive product narratives while developing and maintaining Extreme's tone and voice. Leveraging you knowledge of UI writing best practices and understanding of usability concepts, you will write UI copy as well as other technical content such as product documentation.


  • Work closely with product managers, UX designers, technical writers, and many others throughout the organization to understand the product and write copy for the UI that allows users to understand and successfully use the platform.
  • Help solidify standards for Extreme's tone and voice and champion them across the organization.
  • Contribute to the design of intuitive, delightful product experiences that enable users to accomplish their goals through product language narratives.
  • Build out comprehensive UI language style guidelines on top of our existing framework and work across teams to mature the process for adhering to the guidelines.
  • Use research and best practices to construct and defend your ideas. You embrace feedback and thrive in an iterative environment.
  • As a lifelong learner, you keep up with technology and design trends, striving for our platform to be modern and innovative.
  • You are comfortable working with product managers to proactively identify areas of the product that need improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience writing UI copy and product documentation (experience in ad tech a strong plus)
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong writing, grammatical and proofreading skills with the ability to be creative in writing product descriptions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of being an effective and creative problem-solver
  • Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Research and Marketing to craft broader strategies. A positive attitude, open mindset.
  • Familiarity with Figma and other design tools a plus.
