As a member of this team you will contribute to CDM Smith's
-Working as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, leading a
two-person team to complete inspection assignments from NCDOT.
-Will work closely with various team members out of our North
Carolina offices to complete monthly assignments, provide manhour
and fee estimates, schedule teams, QA/QC inspection reports, and
coordinate with NCDOT on traffic control and inspection
-You will perform advanced level inspection and scheduling on a
bridge inspection team throughout North Carolina.
-Will make determinations on whether to close a severely
defective structure. Will write, review and revise detailed
structure inspection reports documenting findings to be used in an
evaluation program to determine the structural integrity, safety
and recommended maintenance needs of state highway structures.
-Will ensure that all data necessary to complete an inspection
package is obtained. Will also train new inspectors, schedule, plan
and determine the team's activities in conformance with bridge
priorities and select the most appropriate inspection techniques

**CDM Smith Employment Type:**
-Requires federal (NHI), state and/or local, etc. certification.
If certified in one state or locality, shall have 18 months to get
certification in new locality.
-6 years of related experience.
-Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The
frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties,
responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position,
which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
