Description of Work Whitaker PRTF

We are currently recruiting for a Psychological Program Director
I at Whitaker PRTF. The primary purpose of this position is to
provide leadership and oversight to the clinical services provided
at Whitaker PRTF. Clinical departments include psychology, social
work and recreational therapy services. Job duties include, but are
not limited to the following: Planning, directing, implementing and
evaluating the overall clinical program.
Provide administrative and clinical supervision of clinical
staff including psychologists and licensed therapists.
Provide advanced psychological consultation and supervision of
complex problem cases.
A member of the Whitaker PRTF Management Team and must partner
with each member to ensure the clinical and residential functions
work seamlessly with one another to ensure the continuity of care
of the residents.
24-hour responsibility for assuring the efficient and effective
delivery of quality clinical care.
This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State
benefits package including health insurance and retirement. The
normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of
the largest, most complex agencies in the state, with approximately
18,000 employees. In collaboration with its partners, it is
responsible for ensuring the health, safety and well-being of all
Whitaker employs a Six-Core model which prepares the adolescents
to successfully return to the community. Whitaker is an 18 bed
secure residential treatment facility that provides 24 hour nursing
care which is operated by the Department of Health and Human
Services, Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disorders and
Substance Abuse Services. As part of the Child and Family Services
Section, it provides residential care, supervision and educational
services for residents with complex behavioral, emotional,
psychological and neurological disorders. It also provides
community liaison support services for residents and families
with a staffing complement of approximately 70 full-time
clinical, educational, residential and support positions. This
