Who we are looking for:
Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking a Business Development
Director for our Raleigh, NC branch office. This position requires
the candidate to have or the ability to gain a working knowledge of
our core services of geotechnical engineering, construction
materials testing and environmental consulting to be fully
successful. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have business
development and sales experience with architects, engineers,
developers, and municipal, county, state and federal government
Responsibilities What you’ll be doing:
Including but not limited to:
Build on the growing reputation of the company
Develop relationships and projects opportunities for F&R to
increase exposure and build F&R’s brand within the market
Develop and document a structured business development plan for
maintaining existing relationships and building new ones to meet or
exceed revenue goals.
Seek out and cultivate long term business relationships within
industry, navigating the business development process to influence
decision makers at all levels, share proven best practice
solutions, craft specific solutions for the specific customer and
assist clients in taking actions to reduce costs, reduce risk and
increase customer service levels. Understand and meet client
Develop partnerships with F&R operational staff and
coordinate their business development commitments/activities to
ensure that they are contributing to the success of the branch’s
business development efforts
Stage and lead internal and external business development
Review and track electronic lead sources for potential
Assist in the preparation of SOQs, and other written
Provide input and lead the development of the branch’s annual
Utilize F&R’s CRM system to track business leads and
opportunities, and recognize trends that need to be addressed
and/or capitalized on behalf of the company
Join and participate in industry-focused networking groups and
Qualifications What you need to have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business/related field preferred
Specific relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of
5 or more years’ successful business development experience in
same or related field highly preferred
Demonstrated track record of revenue generation in field if
Capability with Microsoft products: Outlook, Excel, Word,
Ability to manage numerous assignments and meet deadlines
Ability to participate in industry events
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Up to 50% travel required in and out of territory
Valid US. Driver’s License and good standing driving record
Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s
pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug
screening and driving record
