Status: Not Required The Mechanical Assembler IV Lead is
responsible for coordinating daily production activities while
performing and overseeing high-quality assembly work in support of
program and customer requirements. This role ensures production
priorities are met, workmanship and compliance standards are
upheld, and continuous improvement initiatives are supported
through effective collaboration, technical expertise, and adherence
to safety, quality, and operational expectations. This is a 3rd
shift position with the following hours: Sunday-Thursday; 11:00
PM-7:00 AM (Overtime may be required) WHAT YOU WILL DO: Assist
supervisor and/or provide direction and leadership to specified
work cell(s) without having direct authority over employees.
Coordinate workflow and priorities through the production line.
Become subject matter expert in assigned work cell(s). Ensure work
is accomplished with high quality, in a timely fashion and is
compliant with the company’s standards. Identify operational
problems as they arise and communicate issues in a timely fashion.
Measure employee performance and provide feedback to the employee
and leadership team. Demonstrate proper usage of tools and
workstation. Check work methods and results for conformance to
standards and re-instruct as required. Ensure products produced
meet quality standards, comply with applicable elements of quality
systems, and meet customer expectations and deadlines. Provide
preliminary review of employees for OJT sign-off. Communicate and
document standard work changes. Comply with and ensure all EH&S
guidelines are communicated and followed. Support Facilities and
Engineering by inspecting calibrated equipment and ensuring
compliance, entering work orders for down equipment, and ensuring
employees are performing and adhering to 5S practices. Maintain
materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly
condition. Position requires handling of raw explosive material.
Position requires completion and clearance of ATF background check.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE: Typically requires HS diploma (or
equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical
education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of
relevant experience. Must have four or more years experience in
manufacturing. QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER: Prior experience leading a
manufacturing cell/product line. Experience with interpreting
schematics and/or technical drawings. Experience reading and/or
interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Intermediate
computer skills in terms of typing, navigating screens and learning
