Breeden Law Office is a growing family law firm located in Garner, North Carolina, with offices in Angier, Smithfield, and Raleigh. We are passionate about helping our clients move from challenging circumstances to bright futures, and about using the legal process to make children's lives better.

We are hiring an associate family law attorney to help us serve our clients with compassion and skill.

Our associate attorneys enjoy a balance between autonomous management of an independent caseload and guidance as they develop and hone the knowledge and skills that make a real difference for our clients.

Job Type: Full-time
The hiring range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 depending on qualifications and experience -

Responsibilities:
--- Provide an excellent client service experience by being responsive, proactive, and caring.
--- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and legal team members.
--- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases with supervision from an experienced attorney in a team-oriented environment.
--- Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs, explaining their legal options, and collaborating with them to create strategies that serve their interests.
--- Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current and organized.
--- Maintain the firm's high standards for client service and legal ethics at all times.
--- Be truly compassionate toward people who are experiencing difficult circumstances.
--- Separate legal issues from emotions in order to serve clients' best interests.
--- Work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.
--- Follow established legal and office processes with accuracy and timeliness.
--- Meet firm and legal deadlines.

Qualifications:
--- Possession of a valid North Carolina law license (must be in hand).
--- At least three years of successful family law experience preferred.
--- Ability to communicate effectively, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high.
--- A demonstrated interest in client-facing trial work.
--- A commitment to helping children and families.
--- Ability to manage some independent cases and assist senior partners while meeting firm standards for workflows and client communication.
--- Professional, friendly demeanor that is an asset to the positive workplace culture we've worked hard to build.
--- At least 3 years of successful experience practicing family law in North Carolina (with experience practicing in Wake County strongly preferred).
--- Valid North Carolina Notary Public, or ability to obtain it immediately.
--- Three professional references.
