Job Description:
Our Client is seeking a Qualified Network Administrator resource to
augment the Network team and work with application owners to
administer and troubleshoot load balance technologies such as F5
and Citrix on various projects. This resource will be responsible
for identifying new and emerging technology to support strategic
planning initiatives required to meet business needs. The selected
candidate should also be experienced with hosting SSL certificates
on Citrix NetScaler and other load balancer platforms. Candidate
should be able to design and maintain complex network
architectures. We are looking for a team player that can exercise
independent judgement with minimal direction from supervisor.
This individual will conduct assessments, evaluations, selections,
site surveys, requirements analysis and definition, technology
prototyping, and cost analyses related to information
technology.
Note: Resource must be available to work onsite, willing to work
on-call and weekends (will get called) at client facility in
Raleigh, NC. With up to 2 days telecommute
Responsibilities :
- Configure, administer, document custom load balancing
(F5/Citrix) technology solutions
- High level troubleshooting of network and application
issues
- DNS, ADC, and CDN WAF administration
- Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all
cases.
Skills & Qualifications :
- 10+ years IT experience required, minimum 5 years in Load
Balancing technology and DNS
- Interacts with multiple internal application teams to create
customized load balancing solutions
- Extensive knowledge of Load balancing technology including
algorithms and health check options
- Extensive knowledge and experience with hosting SSL
certificates on Citrix NetScaler and F5 platforms
- Extensive knowledge of Citrix NetScaler VIP configuration with
health check
- Knowledge and experience with Citrix NetScaler responder policy
configuration
- Knowledge and experience with Citrix NetScaler Access Gateway
configurations
- Knowledge and experience with Citrix NetScaler content
switching configurations
- Working knowledge of emerging and current information
technologies such as:
- Data capture and dissemination Automatic
identification/location Voice processing
- Imaging Multimedia Smart cards
- Artificial intelligence Information highway Networking

health checking, detailed rewrites and responder policies, Citrix
gateway, AAA auth, WAF, OTP and balancing algorithms
- Ability to troubleshoot basic network issues including
IPv6.

Desired Skills:
- Experience with APIs, scripting, and Splunk data flows

etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of
Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related
area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant
professional experience.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge in at least three major technology
areas.
- Technical expertise is sought after and provided to several
projects/accounts.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of assigned technology and
discipline area.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of corporate organization and
policies.
- Advanced level business, technical, or functional
knowledge.
- Master's Degree in information systems, business, computer
science, or related field.
Additional Provisions:
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust
Clearance
- Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug
screening, criminal history check and credit check.
- Once candidate's resume is approved and interview passed, the
agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to
submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance
process.
- If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of
employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive
clearance.
- All candidates must be a US Citizen, or have permanent
residence status (Green Card).
- Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5
years.
- Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States
within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception
does not include military family members.)
- All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client
manager or his/her designated representative.
- Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without
previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be
reimbursed at straight time.
- The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt
with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
- Must be available to travel
Place and Period of Performance
- The standard workweek for contract staff will be 5 days a week
and 8 hours per day preferable Monday through Friday.
- Contract staff may be required to travel to support business
efforts.
