ResponsibilitiesGuidehouse is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and detail-oriented Medicaid Technical Assistance Consultant to support State representatives with complex Medicaid and CHIP eligibility and enrollment issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong client service background, acute attention to detail, and experience developing effective written technical assistance materials. Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with cross-functional team of professionals with federal Medicaid and CHIP expertise to identify gaps, synthesize information, and make recommendations to decision-makers across policy requirements and operations.
  • Provides technical assistance on complex Medicaid and CHIP eligibility and enrollment issues to ensure the states are accurately implementing Medicaid and CHIP policies and complying with federal requirements for eligibility and enrollment.
  • Develops resources to assist states and territories on eligibility and enrollment program design and implementation, stakeholder engagement, and program management.
  • Develops written technical assistance materials that may include but are not limited to training materials, FAQs, clarification guidance, best practices documents, issue papers, flow charts, slide decks, and other documents.
  • Provides external technical assistance to State personnel, including communications, webinars, virtual meetings, telephone conferences, and training.
  • Supports logistics for technical assistance, including PowerPoint slide deck preparation, drafting talking points, and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Identifies and prioritizes emerging eligibility and enrollment issues and recommends solutions to mitigate, resolve and/or prevent further disruption.
  • Performs research, analysis, and develops recommendations and action plans to support CMS with eligibility determinations and enrollment transitions associated with unwinding from the public health emergency.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities to improve stakeholder satisfaction. QualificationsRequired:
    • A Bachelors degree.
    • 3-4 years of professional experience working with CMS or within the Health Care Industry. Preferred:
    • Knowledge and experience with Medicaid policies eligibility and enrollment policy and program operations. The salary for this role will be in the range of $100,000 up to $130,000 commensurate with experience.
