As a Business Intelligence pro with a talent for blending creativity, critical thinking, and strategy you will help the Business Unit Risk Management Team and their clients visualize their data. Through the use your formidable creative and analytical powers to crush problems, you will help build and deliver solutions that collect, transform, analyze, and report data-strategic and tactical as well as operational.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide insights on key metrics and data sets including gap, risk awareness, ROI, and trends while generating test hypotheses.
  • Execute A/B testing strategy and make objective recommendations based on data driven analysis of results
  • Develop new code modules to enable requirements that emerge during insight development utilizing Python, R, .NET proposing improvements to existing capabilities and participating in code reviews.
  • Enhance the team's abilities to report on performance, focus on impact, and provide transparency around analytics work streams with creative and innovative storytelling
  • Provide insights and analytics to identify notable trends in technology risks
  • Identify and isolate emerging trends and actionable insights that will assist in making internal risk-based strategic decisions
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Banking or equivalent education and related training
    • 8+ years of experience in a financial institution with emphasis on risk management or equivalent work experience and training
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team
    • Ability to manage time effectively
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong execution and delivery skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency in database design software
    • Advanced proficiency in technology applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
      Preferred Qualifications:
      • 3+ years' experience working with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
      • 5+ years of recent development experience in utilizing SQL, Python, R, Java, .NET with the ability to build data integration processes and API
      • Hands on experience providing insights on key metrics including gap, risk awareness, ROI, and trends while generating test hypotheses.
      • Proven experience identifying emerging trends and actionable insights in collected data to facilitate risk avoidance guiding both our client's and internal strategic decisions
      • Proven demonstrable experience as a creative and innovative problem solver and storyteller with data
      • Highly motivated to understand the needs of our diverse customers by reimagining our data workflow and share insights to drive constant improvement of our services
      • Strong systems thinker that can recognize patterns and draw conclusions/improvements from data and customer insights
      • Demonstrated proficiency in implementation of data design principles.
      • Experienced in the use of GIT-based environment for source management.
      • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to operate without close supervision.
      • Familiarity with Tableau and other data visualization and reporting tools.
      • Experience working in a fast-paced, Agile environment and using Agile tools.
      • Experienced in the use and understanding of OOP (Object Oriented) based technologies.
      • Ability to rapidly research, learn and implement new technologies where appropriate.
      • Ability to determine and present and discuss alternate solutions to team.
      • Experienced in the use of XML based technologies such as XPath, XQuery.
      • Experienced in use of REST and SOAP web services
        OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

        Visual / Audio / Speaking
        Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone.
        Manual Dexterity / Keyboarding
        Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers.
        Availability
        Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
        Travel
        Minimal and up to 10%
