Role As a Senior Manager of Software Development, you will be responsible for hiring a brand new team and leading them to deliver connectivity solutions to bridge cloud and on-prem worlds. You will be part of Splunk's core cloud platform and have a large impact on leading and architecting it's future enabling hybrid cloud use cases. This role will provide the opportunity to be immersed in both platform and microservices on Splunk cloud with exposure to a full portfolio of technology areas. You are an expert in distributed computing, networking, cloud platform software development in a scaled-up multi-tenant architecture. Initiative, passion and commitment is your soft currency. Finally, you enjoy working with highly collaborative teams and have fun doing your stuff What You'll Do Hire, lead and grow a team of cloud platform developers and sr. engineers. Own and deliver platform and services roadmap in collaboration with Product Managers. Technically mentor the team through development and on-call process. Collaborate with peers and build the best in class cloud development model. Actively seek initiatives to accelerate the platform's performance, scalability, and reliability. Have fun and achieve your career goals. Requirements 10 years actively developing and/or managing to cloud-native technologies. Demonstrable foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design for cloud. Experience with developing models for cloud-native architectures (Microservices SOA, security, compliance etc) at cloud scale. Managed teams of 8-10 people with a demonstrable team and product success. Familiarity and prior experience working with Golang and Kubernetes. Highly preferred qualifications Prior experience building cloud platforms from grounds up. Prior experience developing hybrid cloud connectivity solutions. Qualifications Requires 4 years of management experience and 12 years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience or 2 to 4 years of management experience and 8 years and a Master's degree, or a Ph.D. with 1 to 3 years of management experience and 5 years' experience; or equivalent practical experience.
