Job Summary
Manage the activities related to the processing of payroll.
Evaluate, recommend and administer all employee compensation
programs to ensure that they are current, competitive and in
compliance with legal requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Process / administer weekly and biweekly payroll for multiple
airport locations. Process month-end payroll accrualEnsure liaison
with staff regarding all pay enquiries: Prompt maintenance of staff
records at all times including archiving and filing, liaise with HR
regarding staff appointments, terminations, remuneration,
conditions of service and other relevant mattersResolve out of
balance accounts, errors and payment queries, to ensure the payroll
runs accurately and all complex problem on legislative and system
issuesReconcile all payroll payments to the financial ledger and to
adjust control accounts as appropriateProcess and distribute all
year-end W-2'sBalance all payroll related taxes. Enter all
relocation, car, and tuition related entriesDefine all Projects as
required to improve and standardize the payroll operations and
systems. Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and
summarizing information and trendsCheck and audit all payroll
processes to ensure all legal requirements are met for the Company,
including Union requirementsOversee Garnishment process to ensure
accuracy and prompt payments are maintained
Qualifications and Competencies
University Degree in Finance (or equivalent).Minimum of 10 years
payroll and compensation experience, 7 of which should be in a
managerial position.Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially
Excel and PowerPoint)Knowledge of Lawson payroll system is a
plusAbility to work under demanding deadlines, flexible,
communicative and ability to work in teamFinancially competent,
able to assimilate and interpret financial data.Strong analytical
skills.Excellent decision-making skills based on facts and
analyses.Attention to details.Excellent interpersonal skills with
the demonstrated ability to manage a team and mentor
staff.Excellent English, both verbal and written. Other languages
considered an advantageAbility to execute a number of initiatives
in country/station.Personal and professional integrity of the
highest order.
