Lowe's Foods is seeking a dedicated Assistant Bakery Manager for our Wake Forest, NC location to help lead our bakery team in providing the highest quality bakery items and exceptional customer service. This role is pivotal in upholding our commitment to freshness, quality, and creativity in our bakery offerings. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the Bakery Manager to innovate and enhance our bakery experience, ensuring efficiency and delighting our customers with both traditional and unique bakery goods. Assist in managing the daily operations of the bakery department ensuring compliance with company policies and governmental regulations. Oversee the bakery team, foster a collaborative environment, and ensure all staff are trained on the latest bakery techniques and customer service standards. Collaborate with the Bakery Manager in menu planning, inventory management, and procurement of supplies while controlling costs. Ensure the bakery’s cleanliness and sanitation standards meet or exceed regulatory health and safety codes. Drive product innovation and improvement to enhance customer satisfaction and sales. Participate in the creation and execution of in-store events and promotions to attract new customers. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with exceptional service and professionalism. Strong leadership and team management skills Proficiency in bakery arts and food preparation Excellent organizational and time management skills Capability to work flexibly and adapt management styles Strong communication and interpersonal skills Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe) is required. Professional baking and pastry certifications desirable.
