Job Description:

The Merchandising Operations Project Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to assist in managing business-critical projects - ranging from Structural & Creative Changes for Packaging to Store Environment Planogram development - to ensure they are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

S/he is responsible for managing and maintaining multiple, simultaneous projects-many of which are complex in nature-ensuring adherence to project objectives and deadlines. This person provides thoughtful and effective solutions as well as plans for execution for each of his/her projects.

The role is highly collaborative, involving coordinated efforts between the Category Managers and multiple cross functional teams such as Store Environment, IT/System Analytics, E-Commerce, Supply Chain, Creative Designers, Compliance, Legal, Technical Writers and Quality Assurance.

Please note - this is a remote position but there will be occasional projects and team meetings that will require in office visits. Looking for candidates who are local to Calabasas, CA / Los Angeles County.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in managing projects within Workfront, the department project management system, to ensure deadlines are met and critical projects are executed thoroughly.
Develop and execute analytical tools to support Category Management decision making and reporting tools to apprise Senior Leadership.
Collaborate across cross functional teams to recognize the impact of process changes throughout the organization in order to effectively and efficiently implement process improvement.
Drive and troubleshoot project related issues and questions with the Category Management, Creative Designers, Global Sourcing and Store Environment teams
Oversee, monitor and provide updates on project status with department and key stakeholders
Track workflow to keep team focused on priorities and provide careful oversight of their schedules.
Responsible for ensuring projects are on time, and keep all aware of any roadblocks that are preventing completion in the time allotted.
Drive project approvals to ensure all project milestones are met
Send approved package art to vendors and manage print proofs returned for approval.
Route proofs to designers, writers and Category Teams for final sign off before printing mass production.
Liaison with cross-functional team to ensure in-store planogram changes are developed and approved in advance for new product set dates, refreshes to existing items and for store tests.
Job Qualifications - Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Min. 3 years of experience managing projects
Retail store experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent writing and editing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Must be detail oriented, collaborative and proactive
Quick learner who is a team player
The ability to influence and experience working with multiple departments
Skilled problem solver who can communicate urgency while remaining cool, calm, collected
