Department Specialist- National Merchandising Team Location: BOISE,
ID or Pleasanton, CA or Dallas, TX, or Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL,

Bellingham, WA, West Bridgewater, MA, Fullerton, CA, or Lubbock,
What you will be doing
The National Merchandising Team has an opening for a Department
Specialist. This position will be located in Boise, Idaho. The
Department Specialist will complete a variety of specialized duties
that supports the National GM/HBC Sales Managers.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Reviews information and data and makes decisions within very
defined guidelines, parameters and instruction.
Checks own work for accuracy - requires a high level of accuracy as
errors impact sales and profits.
Creates and maintains complex records and files and search and
investigate information found in files.
Posts records and processes departmental documents requiring
specific knowledge of functional area.
Collects data/information for dept. use in special projects or
Responds to inquiries in area of responsibility from stores,
merchandising staff and vendor partners.
Answers department phones as needed and routes to appropriate
Examines and prioritizes documents to determine work to be
completed or best course of action.
Sorts, files and maintains invoices, receipts, contracts, or other
special department documents.
Performs other related duties as assigned which may include duties
specific to assigned department.
High School graduate or higher. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Knowledge of Albertsons and Safeway merchandising systems
Strong project design and project management/execution skills.
Strong project team development and communications skills,
including large group presentation capabilities.
Strong operational insurance and safety program design and
implementation skills and background.
Local and long-distance travel to divisions of responsibility
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer
Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other
office equipment in the course of a normal workday.
Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in
completion of job duties
Up to 5% Travel Required.
