Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A surgical technologist plays a critical role within the operating room, supporting surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures. This position requires strong anticipation skills to promptly provide the necessary instruments and equipment, minimizing delays during operations. You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the surgical field, collaborating closely with the surgical team, and assisting as needed throughout the procedure. Key duties include assembling, transporting, and retrieving surgical equipment while ensuring that all tools and supplies, including sterile linens, saline, suction machines, and lighting, are ready and functional. Regular inspection, maintenance, decontamination, and repair of surgical devices are essential, along with maintaining accurate inventory records. Pre- and post-surgical patient care activities, such as shaving, transporting, and applying dressings, are also part of the role. Qualifications and Experience: NBSTSA certification (required) BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required) Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting Proven ability to work efficiently within an operating room team Strong organizational and communication skills Location: This opportunity is based in Arapahoe, Wyoming, providing a chance to work in a quiet, rural community surrounded by beautiful landscapes and friendly residents.
