Job Description TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join a community hospital Emergency Department in North Carolina. This opportunity is ideal for physicians interested in nocturnist-only or mixed day/night schedules. Residents are accepted, though prior independent Emergency Medicine experience is preferred due to the solo coverage model. Position Overview Job Type: Permanent (1099 structure) Specialty: Emergency Medicine Candidate Type: MD Visa Sponsorship: Not available (no J-1 or H-1) Employment Status: Full-Time Shifts: Nights only or mixed days/nights 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM and/or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) 12–14 shifts per month Coverage Model: Solo physician coverage with strong APP support Annual ED Volume: ~34,000 visits Clinical Environment Emergency Department: 22 beds Staffing Model: Single physician coverage Two Advanced Practice Providers providing split coverage Average Daily Volume: Approximately 90–100 patients Hospital Support: 24/7 Hospitalist coverage 24/7 Radiology coverage Scope of Services: General Surgery OB/GYN Orthopedics Primary Care Urology Transport: Strong air and ground support for immediate patient transfers Candidate Requirements Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine Comfortable practicing as a solo provider Able to manage a broad range of emergency presentations independently Residents accepted; experienced candidates preferred due to solo coverage expectations Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package Loan repayment available Sign-on bonus available Relocation assistance available Full benefits package offered Lifestyle & Community This role is located in a family-friendly North Carolina community offering a relaxed pace of life and an affordable cost of living.
