Job Description - Full-time board-certified or board-eligible ophthalmologist with fellowship training in cornea and external disease - Interest in resident education and residency program development encouraged - Tertiary referral setting with diverse and complex ophthalmic cases - Recruitment across ophthalmology subspecialties to support expanding practice - Newly approved ophthalmology residency program launching summer 2026 - Requires completion of U.S. residency or fellowship training - Responsibilities include clinical practice, teaching, and rotating call coverage - Opportunities for academic involvement and research participation - Employment within an established academic health system - Modern clinic with advanced equipment and strong administrative support - Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package - Additional offerings may include relocation assistance, loan repayment, sign-on bonus, and paid commitment stipends Located inland off of the North Carolina coast, 45 miles east of interstate 95, just over an hour to Raleigh, a little over an hour to the pristine beaches of the Crystal Coast of NC.
