Job Description:
Seeking a board certified Gastroenterologist to provide locums
coverage for a practice located in eastern North Carolina.
Fellowship training in Advanced Endoscopy is required. Locums
provider should be proficient in EUS and ERCP.Coverage Needed 1
week per month starting in February-ongoing Monday-Friday
8a-5pDetailsHospital privileges at a level 1 trauma
centerEstablished practice with 5 experienced gastroenterologists
and 1 Nurse PractitionerAnticipated volume: 5-8 procedures per
dayProcedures are typically Mon-Fri 8a-5p4 procedure
roomsHospitalist handle admissions-GI team is a consult serviceGI
Fellow takes first call 24 hours per daySome advanced GI night and
weekend call when needed-can be done from homeProcedures will
include ERCP, EGD, Colonoscopy, and EUSState of the art outpatient
endoscopy center and newly renovated inpatient GI lab inclusive of
20 bays and 3 procedure roomsNew high definition scopes and
fluoroscopy equipmentBLS and ACLS requiredProvider will not respond
to codesAverage inpatient census: 4 Hospital covers the cost of
travel, lodging and malpractice insurance.
