3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor Delivery Recovery Postpartum
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36.00 Experience:
Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in Labor, Delivery,
Recovery, and Postpartum, including experience circulating for
C-sections and triaging for OB. License: Licensed to practice as a
Registered Nurse in the state. Certifications: Basic Life Support
(BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal
Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required. Must-Have: -
Competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional
standards. - Assesses readiness to learn for patients and families.
- Recognizes complex patient care needs and prioritizes
accordingly. - Develops and updates the plan of care in
collaboration with patients and families. Description: Provides
clinical nursing care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital
setting. Reports and is accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director.
Participates in identifying and meeting personal learning needs.
Attends educational programs relevant to identified needs.
Effectively uses patient education materials appropriate for the
patient population. Evaluates expected patient outcomes and
communicates pertinent information to ensure continuity of care.
Demonstrates competence in caring for patients with complex
problems. Utilizes healthcare organization policies and procedures
to deliver care. Organizes and prioritizes care according to the
needs of patients and families. Consults with appropriate resources
for patients with complex issues and unusual teaching needs.
Develops professional growth goals and works to achieve them within
a specified time frame. Participates in the development and
achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities.
Promotes safe, clean, and secure hospital environments for all.
Recognizes data from complex situations to determine priorities for
care. Synthesis of assessment data into comprehensive information
for communication. Anticipates discharge needs of individual
patients and families. Utilizes available multidisciplinary
resources in care planning. Demonstrates ability to prioritize
tasks for patients with complex needs. Reads relevant journals and
engages in discussions for applicable practice assessments.
