Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1.5 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: EKG interpretation Critical thinking skills Knowledge of critical drips (vasopressors, sedation) titration knowledge Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit. The unit will comprise both ICU and Intermediate Care Unit patients. The patient ratios are ICU 2:1, IMU 3:1. The facility features 16 beds dedicated to critical care. Required equipment includes cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and bedside dialysis capability. The electronic health record system used is Meditech EMR. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable. Common diagnoses treated include COPD, acute respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, and shock. Candidates should possess strong teamwork abilities. A degree in nursing is required, with preference given to those holding a BSN.
