Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Winston Salem, NC Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $1,912 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103! Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown Nurse – North Carolina Start Date: February 16, 2026 Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available; every other weekend required; 13-week contract Highlights: ICU stepdown unit with 3:1 or 4:1 patient ratios managing complex, high-acuity patients Strong drip titration experience required including vasoactive and cardiac drips (Levophed, Dopamine, Cardizem, Precedex, Cardene, and more) Advanced skills utilized: arterial lines, BIPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy management, high-flow nasal cannula, and bedside telemetry monitoring Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management Floating to sister ICCU unit as needed based on census First-time travelers accepted; orientation provided during first week Requirements: Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license (required at start) Minimum 2 years of progressive care, stepdown, ICU, or telemetry nursing experience Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date Demonstrated proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central/PICC line care Experience with IV starts, conscious sedation, isolation precautions, and rapid response team protocols Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Must complete 8-10 hours of online modules prior to start (non-billable) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced stepdown environment where you'll care for post-rapid response patients, complex post-operative cases, and patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive support.
