Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/28/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) Facility: Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Location: Fayetteville, NC (1638 Owen Dr) Start Date: 07/28/2025 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights (3x12-Hour, 19:00–07:00) Weekend Rotation: Every Other Weekend Job Overview: This role provides care in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit at a short-term acute care facility. The RN will manage laboring patients, assist with deliveries, and provide postpartum stabilization. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor fetal heart tones, labor progression, and maternal vitals. - Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries. - Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn stabilization. - Charting: Epic EMR (required). - Floating: May float to similar units as needed. Requirements & Qualifications: Mandatory: - Active RN license (Compact or NC state; no pending licenses accepted). - 2 years of recent L&D experience. - Epic proficiency (required). - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (confirm if required). - Travel Policy: First-time travelers accepted. Preferred: - Experience with high-risk obstetrics (e.g., preeclampsia, hemorrhage). - Fetal monitoring certification (e.g., NCC EFM).
