Pay Information $1,766 per week About The Position Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Experience with PCA, chest tubes, tracheostomies, surgical drains, and wound care. Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the MedSurg/Telemetry unit. This position involves caring for a diverse patient population. Common diagnoses include multi-trauma, traumatic brain injury, open fractures, and various abdominal surgeries. The average patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5-6, depending on acuity. Support within the department includes certified nursing assistants who assist with vital signs and patient care. The unit operates with a teamwork-oriented culture, emphasizing cohesion and collaboration. Telemetry monitoring is centrally located, with techs available to assist when needed. The ideal candidate will display proficiency in starting IVs, managing complex wound care, and administering medication drips.
