In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.Position SummaryThe Nursing Assistant performs specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Functions within the framework of the NAI listing granted by the NC Department of Health and Human Services. Practices within the philosophy and goals of patient care services.Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of Nursing Assistant Course, current certification as CNAI in the state of North Carolina, current listing on the CNAI Registry with the Department of Facility Services.
• Knowledge of computer and other office equipment required.
• Ability to manage numerous projects and set priorities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant. Experience in a comparable facility can only be substituted for NA I course by successful completion of challenge exam acceptable to the NC Department of Health and Human Services is required.
