Duke Raleigh Campus features 204 inpatient beds and offers a comprehensive array of services, including cancer, cardiovascular, neuroscience, advanced gastrointestinal, and wound healing care. Duke Raleigh Campus Hematology Oncology/Infusion Clinic seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse who embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together Department Profile: Hematologists and oncologists at Duke Raleigh Hospital, A Campus of Duke University Hospital's Cancer Center Hematology/Oncology offer comprehensive treatments for almost every type of cancer. Services include hematology and oncology consultations, follow-up visits, chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy infusions, blood transfusions, injections, survivorship care, and same day appointments available for acute symptom management. Equipment used in the clinics includes on-site labs, more than 25 chemotherapy and infusion stations, and six private infusion bays. Job Duties:Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of NursingPerform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of nursing care and actAssist in the development and implementation of general policies and responses.Provide direction and guidance in the proper use, care and control of as assigned with physician orders and established policies and procedures to include collecting and analyzing patient data, developing and implementing nursing care plans, establishing interpersonal relationships with patients, evaluating nursing care given and communicating to proper personnel relevant facts about patients, action taken and patient as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or an entire unit material resources; appraise quality and effectiveness of material and equipment and report results to head nurse; maintain standards of cleanliness in assigned areas.Observe activities of nursing staff and make recommendations to nursing management for improvement in the quality and effectiveness of nursing care given procedures designed to effect efficiency of operations. Required Qualifications at this Level.ExperienceNo experience required.CN Is are eligible for promotion to CN II by meeting criteria set forth by the DUHS Vizient Nurse Residency Program within 12 months of hire. Promotions can occur at 12 months of hire, but no later than 18 months of hire. Education, Degrees, Licensure, and/or CertificationGraduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program is required.All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start dateNurses hired at Duke Health with a valid compact license are required to obtain their North Carolina nursing license within 90 days of their start date.BLS required.
