Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas. - -Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Medical Assistant required. Other Certificates from a college in Medical Assistant instead of Associate's required other Certificates instead of Associate's required. - - - -Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. -Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. - -Required Certifications:
