of hospitals that achieve this recognition. U.S. News & World
Report ranked Duke Raleigh Hospital as high performing in
orthopedics and five adult procedures/conditions: chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), heart failure, kidney
failure, lung cancer surgery, and stroke.Duke Raleigh Hospital -
Progressive Care Unit Night Shift 7:00 pm - 7:00 am x 3 shifts per
week. The Prog. Care Unit is offering a $20,000 Sign-on Bonus for
RN with 1 + year of experience.Up to $8000 in a relocation grant
for RNs who reside more than 50 miles from Duke Raleigh Hospital.
Department Profile:The Progressive Care Unit is a step-down unit
for ICU. The patient population on this unit includes patients with
altered mental status, DKA, respiratory failure, post-cardiac
catheterization, and some post-surgery patients. This is a
fast-paced unit where nurses have the opportunity to learn advanced
skills, such as management of drips including Cardizem, Heparin,
and InsulinWork Hours & Shifts:3 - 12 hour shifts per week, Nights.
7 pm to 7 am Weekend and holidays as required by the unit.Job
Summary:As a Clinical Nurse with Duke University Health System, you
will make providing service your priority while caring for the
whole person in a patient-centered atmosphere. The Clinical Nurse
(RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and
indirect total nursing care responsibilities. Utilizing the nursing
process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in
achieving the goals of the nursing department. Plan and provide
advanced and/or specialized nursing care for patients in guided by
DUHS Professional Practice model participate in the clinical ladder
program, educational activities, departmental committees, research
projects or other health related projects as assigned. Provide
nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the
scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Adheres to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state
and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates
in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in
maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to
