Department Profile:
Our surgical oncologists are experts at diagnosing the specifics of
our patients disease and providing them with next steps of
treatment. We specialize in several forms of cancer and
non-cancerous growths particially melanoma and non-melanoma skin
cancers. As part of thoroughly diagnosing the melanoma, we perform
minimally invasive procedures such as biopsies or small skin
excisions in order to test the area of their cancer. We may also
use ultrasound as part of a biopsy, or CT and PET/CT scans to best
understand the nature of the melanoma, merkel cell, or non-melanoma
skin cancers.

Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant, Certified functions as an integral member of
the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing direct patient
care. The Medical Assistant certified performs routine
administrative and patient care supportive duties in a Health
System Medical practice that assists medical and/or nursing staff
in the examination and treatment of patients and ensures the
clinic/office runs smoothly.
