Professional Advisory Board and acts as the Privacy Officer.-- Continually assesses the needs of internal and external employees and the customer to meet and exceed their expectations.-- The Administrator is also responsible for continual growth and the profitability of the Home Healthcare Care Center(s).Assumes responsibility for planning, organizing and directing the delivery of client services for the Home Healthcare Care Center(s)Acts as the emergency coordinator during an emergency and ensures the appropriate plan of executionProvide leadership and assumes ultimate responsibility for meeting the Home Healthcare Care Center(s) operations and client needs in accordance with Intrepid mission and strategic business plansParticipate with regional and corporate leadership to implement Intrepid standards, policies and proceduresMay function as Supervising Nurse for the Home Healthcare Care Center(s) if an RNPlan and assure adherence to budgetary guidelines and manage the Home Healthcare Care Center(s)expense within budgetEnsuring the accuracy of public information materials and activitiesEnsure compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations, OSHA and standards of practiceKnowledge of current regulatory standards and conditions of participationComplies with Medicare, Medicaid and State license requirementsComplies with Intrepid's Quality Assurance monitors, Performance Improvement Plan and reporting mechanismsCoordinate internal compliance review and monitoring activities, including monthly, quarterly and annual audits as required; review of QBQI/OBQM data and plans of actionDirects and supervises clinical team to review documentation for necessity of services, quality care, and compliance with physician orders and the plan of care to ensure quality care and reimbursement in conjunction with clinical director as appropriateDevelops, analyzes and trends Home Healthcare Care Center(s) financial plans/reports for market and meets annual operating budgetPrepares and meets annual operating budgetsAnalyzes period financial statements by reviewing accounts receivable and accounts payable for accuracy and appropriate payment and reimbursementAssure follow up with aging report and other billing reports to ensure accuracy and appropriate reimbursementControl and analyze expenses to ensure budget targets are maintainedGuides development and implementation of new programs to enhance competitive strength and increase market shareMaintains strong, collaborative relationships with key referral sourcesProvide strategic planning for growth of branch office Home Healthcare Care Center(s)Develops marketing plans to assure ongoing increase in referral baseIdentifies and develops ongoing relationships with referrals sources and external customers for the promotion of public awareness and understanding of Intrepid servicesOversees Patient Advocate functions including performance reviews and development plansServes as the local privacy officer for the Home Healthcare Care Center(s)Inform the corporate privacy officer of violations through the reportable event process within a week of the violationAssure appropriate documentation of patient requests for restrictions, access, amendments or accounting for disclosure as required by the privacy ruleAssures all staff receive appropriate training and follows the policies for protected health informationAudit and monitor compliance with the privacy rule and with the Home Healthcare Care Center(s) privacy policies and procedures by all staff and business associatesEnsures a working environment that enables employees to perform their duties to the best of their abilitiesInterviews, screens, and hires employees to meet the needs of clients and in compliance with applicable employment lawOversees the scheduling and competency of staff to assure safe, quality care and serviceSets clear and appropriate expectations for staff and gives feedback to meet those expectationsOversees personnel management functions including staffing, performance reviews, and disciplinary actionsProvides a plan for staff retention and developmentAssures appropriate training to meet the Home Healthcare Care Center(s) regulatory requirementsCompletes other assignments and duties as requested and assigned to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Company--What we'll love about you:Passion and commitment to clinical excellence, quality and integrityEmbracing and leading the patient care mission through providing an exceptional patient experiencePositive attitude and ability to fit in as a collaborative team member for patient careExcellent interpersonal communication and patient/family engagement skillsOutstanding business skills possessing superb leadership, strategic planning, and operations oversightCommitment to clinical documentation excellence and quality along with ability to educate and inspire othersHigh energy, focus, work ethic, motivation and commitment to lifelong learning and growthAbility and demonstrated skills leading clinical and non-clinical teams through persuasiveness and credibilityExperience with CRM and EHR systemsProficiency with federal, state and governing agency regulations for homecare and hospiceProven background providing clinical education and training to both clinical and non-clinical teamsKnowledge and comfort level working with technology and enterprise wide support systems and toolsUnderstanding and knowledge of statistical methods, Lean Six Sigma in Healthcare and TQM methodsSuccessful management of a heavy volume of work, changing priorities as neededExcellent project management, program development and management skillsAppropriate judgment and critical thinking in decisions that requiring consideration of regulatory compliance, customer service, patient welfare and company interestsOutstanding presentation, writing and communication skillsStrong ability to be the public face of the organization, and serve as an advocate for Home Healthcare, Home Hospice and other service linesCreative thinker who embraces thought leadershipCapable of making tough decisions and willing to take responsibility for them.Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (in good standing) in the state(s) of practice Has at least three (3) years of health related experience and at least two (2) years of supervisory administrative experience in home health care or related health programs. Home care and/or supplemental staffing experience is strongly preferred.Auto liability insurance per policy; current and unrestricted driver's license. Miscellaneous - In the State of Texas, Administrators must complete a minimum of 12 hours per year of continuing education in subjects related to the duties of Administrator
