PEG Contracting is currently looking for a Director of
Preconstruction to join our growing team! Are you passionate about

Our Preconstruction Department is major part of our overall service
portfolio. Our project pipeline is extremely varied. We work on
everything from private corporate expansions, to higher education
buildings, and federally funded projects. As a company, we are

exceptional results and lasting relationships. In the Director of
Preconstruction role, you'll work closely with both our clients and
our team members. You'll ensure that client expectations are met
(and exceeded) in areas that include cost management, conceptual
estimates, detailed cost estimates, constructability reviews,
reconciliations, and more. You'll be responsible for the
development of team members and department-level training programs.
In this role, we depend on you to manage the overall performance of
the department as well as the performance of individual team
members. You'll also work with business development to generate new
leads for the business unit. We are looking for a positive and
skilled individual who is excited to be part of a dynamic and
growing company. As Director of Preconstruction, you'll manage the
overall delivery of the business unit by working closely with our
clients, our team members, and the Executive Management team. Here
are some responsibilities:
- Ensure client satisfaction with cost management
- Manage overall business unit performance vs the business
- Review monthly P&L reports and team performance
- Plan / Maintain cost management team utilization
- Manage performance review process of cost management team
- Manage monthly cost management invoicing
- Support BD team in developing / target new business leads
- Manage estimate QAQC and review process
- Manage and implement training programs
- Act as a mentor and assist in the development of team members
Qualifications:-- 5+ years of construction estimating experience--
3+ years of managing a team-- Degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical
Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
preferred; a combination of education and work experience will also
be considered-- Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff (or similar
take-off software), Bluebeam, Excel, and other Microsoft related
software-- Ability to interact very well with different types of
clients-- Be a critical-thinker, self-starter, and creative problem
