Description
SUMMARY
Provides guidance, support and assists VP of Clinical Services with
compliance to the management and quality assurance programs as
required by federal and state law and corporate guidelines.
Provides leadership as needed from the direction of the VP of
Clinical Services, regarding identified management concerns by
assessing, planning, developing, evaluating and facilitating the
implementation of sound performance improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
--- Responsible for providing consistent and effective updates to
the VP of Clinical Services for all assigned responsibilities.---
Assists and supports the VP of Clinical Services with
educational/orientation programs for Center and Regional clinical
leadership positions,--- Assists and supports the VP of Clinical
Services with company initiatives.--- Responsible for oversight and
performance management of the company's monitoring efforts with
focus on specific areas including but not limited to the following
areas:
- Oversight of RCD's within assigned region
- Quality Measures Outcomes
- 5 Star Initiative Outcomes
- Best Practices Management
- Ten Step Programs
- TSI Reports
- PCC Reports
- Safety/Risk Management
- Communicates with VP of Clinical Routinely
- Supports Acquisitions
--- Monitors QAPI Audits and outcomes and ensures the development
of effective Action Plans.--- Assists with the development of
policies and procedures and monitors effective implementation for
certain defined operations.--- Monitors proper survey preparedness
and survey management, as well as adequate preparation of follow up
surveys.
--- Responsible for collaborating on clinically oriented census
development opportunities and expense reduction opportunities in
conjunction with the regional operating teams.--- Responsible for
implementing company clinical and regulatory strategic goals,
including new and revised company systems, policies and procedures
and programs.--- Monitors and encourages achievement of goals and
objectives consistent with established company philosophy and
standards of practice.--- Conducts focused clinical compliance
audits. --- Regularly and consistently reviews clinical performance
trends and indicators to identify trends. Provides necessary
clinical leadership to address trends and outcomes.--- Gathers
data, reviews information and provides clinical expertise as
assigned.--- Acts in compliance with company, regulatory and
professional standards and guidelines.--- Adheres to company policy
and procedures and participates in company quality improvement
programs.--- Demonstrates a passion for caring as evidenced by
interactions with co-workers, residents, families and visitors.
--- Provides clinical services related staff training programs.
--- Participates in scheduled conference calls with corporate and
regional staff as directed.--- Attends corporate and regional
meetings/functions as directed.
--- Reviews potentially adverse incident reports prior to the
filing of such reports according to state and federal law.
--- Other tasks as assigned.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
--- Three years' experience as Regional Nurse Consultant---
Exceptional customer service, leadership and organizational
skills--- Ability to gather and analyze data--- Ability to
effectively problem solve--- Ability to travel extensively with
overnight stay--- Completion of Infection Prevention training/IPCO
certification within 5 days of employment--- Effective oral and
written communication skills--- Flexibility and ability to adapt to
change--- Strong computer skills
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
--- Regional Clinical Directors in assigned region report directly
to this position
--- Provides necessary clinical leadership to address trends and
outcomes.--- Supports Risk Management and Compliance.
--- Participates in conference calls as necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT
Employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see,
talk and hear. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other
body fluids, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Adheres to and oversees communication of privacy guidelines
relative to the confidentiality of residents' protected health
information. Participates in (or conducts) company-sponsored
training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of such
information. Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies,
procedures and state and federal law.
