- Oversees a sales team for an assigned division to align
resources to reach organizational blood collection goals.
- Requires expertise in managing a sales territory and sales
team.
- Manages Account Managers and Business Development
Representatives to strategically manage an existing portfolio of
blood donor groups and new business to reach collection
targets.
- Must be people and data driven with ability to engage donor
sponsors at the highest level and be a superior relationship
builder.
- Monitors progress to goal proactively and effectively coaches
and manages the team to success, holding all team members
accountable to goal.
- Strong territory management a must.
- Ability to implement strategic initiatives and programs to the
team and external customers is a key component of position.
- Represents TBC as a role model that positively reflects the
values, ethics, and culture of the organization.
- Requires the ability to handle difficult situations and ways to
arrive at an agreement amongst diverse groups of
stakeholders.Essential Functions
Administrative/Managerial
- Maintains awareness of current events and trends in the blood
industry
- Expert at territory management and achieving sales goals
- Directs and monitors performance of Account Managers, Business
Development Representatives, and Recruiters to ensure divisional
objectives are met
- Ensures divisional calendar is booked out a minimum of 3 months
in advance with the goal of a long-term objective of 6+ months of
solid account placement
- Minimizes the amount of blood drive events without a Blood
Drive Coordinator
- Utilizes all databases and metrics available and ensures team
adheres to the same standard to track performance to goal
- Provides motivation and development for subordinates
- Develops leaders throughout the organization by being a role
model of high leadership behaviors and through the implementation
of leadership development opportunities
- Has ability to analyze reports and interpret data
- Reviews the scheduled blood drives in advance to evaluate and
maintain efficiencies and accurate goals
- Works directly with all departments to achieve efficiency,
accuracy, and monthly goal
- Tracks the monthly goals and sets expectations for the Account
Managers and Business Development Representatives
- Manages each Recruiter for goal-making metrics and assigns
their schedule
- Works closely with Donor Services to ensure changes are
communicated and updated in a timely manner
- Recognizes and has the ability/agility to make changes to blood
drives when need dictates
- Develops an extensive working knowledge of the HemaTerra
Technologies product suite
- Supports the growth of the company by promoting HemaConnect
donor recruitment software through public relations activities,
onsite coordinator training, presentations, and hands-on
relationshipsRecruitment
- Implements strategies to facilitate staff to retain and manage
sponsor organizations
- Creates new and imaginative approaches for developing
successful recruitment and
- Shows a willingness to question traditional assumptions and
modes of operation
- Performs blood drive on-site visits
- Routinely calls or visits blood drive coordinators to assess
Account Managers performance
- Performs quality checks to ensure that all essential
information in HemaCollect is correct and timely
- Assists Account Managers with rebooking and retaining blood
drives on the calendar
- Assists with customer service follow up with blood drive
coordinators
- Other duties as assigned or requiredMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Sales and Territory Management of 5 years or more. Blood Bank
Recruitment Management experience a plus.
- Valid Driver's License with no major infractions and dependable
transportation
- Ability to speak in front of large groups of people
- Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously
to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet
deadlines
- Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal,
and written communications skills
- Strong computer skills including intermediate skill level with
Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work
environment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with staff, management, and peersPhysical Demands
- Lifting up to 25 pounds
- Sitting, standing, or walking for an extended period
