Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Division President, the Vice President
of Construction is a hands-on role, responsible for the day-to-day
construction operations. This role oversees, Construction Managers,
Quality Control Managers, Builder Superintendents, Quality
Control/Warranty Representatives, and Trade Partners. - -
This individual is accountable for providing proactive analysis and
reporting of scheduling and excess spending or overages, developing
and tracking key performance metrics and trends, to initiate,
addressing, and report frequent waste or inefficiencies. -
This individual is a critical leader in the strategic planning and
direction of the Company. This position is a key leadership
position - tasked with being a Company-first, thoughtful and
purposeful individual while participating in the overall direction
of the Company.

Construction Responsibilities: -
--- Develop talent and maintain company culture. -
--- Refine construction schedules to reduce as much time waste as
possible. -
--- Hold the schedule accountable to the original dates. -
--- Manage Builder Superintendents and Quality Control/Warranty
personnel. -
--- Provide timely and accurate design, schedule, and budget
feedback for various floor plans. -
--- Plan and direct construction activities in the field either
directly or through utilizing Builder Superintendents. -
--- Responsible for the profitability of the homes being built in
their subdivisions and managing all costs by reviewing field
variance purchase orders. -
--- Total involvement with training, communication, and development
of Construction Management, Builder Superintendents, Quality
Control/Warranty Representatives, and field personnel. -
--- Participate in regular community review meetings to ensure
individual community success. -
--- Oversee field operations, and production times, and ensure
quality control so that the homes built meet the Gray Wolf
standards and are ready for homeowner orientations/occupancy. -
--- Ensure that assigned subdivisions meet all safety standards in
accordance with OSHA and state regulations. -
--- Handle escalated problems with trade partners. -
--- Respond to unsatisfactory surveys. -
--- Ensure that all homes in the construction area are constructed
to contract, specification and detail. -
--- Assure that all work that is invoiced is fully acceptable
according to Company Scopes of Work and is 100% complete. -
--- Visit job sites periodically to spot-check quality and policy
enforcement. -
--- Establish, maintain, and keep current standard operating
procedures for the Construction Department including each
construction position. -
Supervisory Responsibilities -
--- Manages a group of 1-20 Builder Superintendents, Quality
Control Representatives, Warranty Representatives, Construction
Managers, and Quality Control Managers within a specified area of
construction.
--- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization's policies and applicable laws.
--- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training
employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing
complaints and resolving problems. -
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: -
--- -Five years of experience in construction management within an
organization with a minimum of $50 million in annual construction.

--- Team Player with a great attitude, emotional intelligence, and
drive to results. -
--- Strong qualitative and quantitative abilities and excellent
problem-solving skills. -
--- Demonstrate excellence in managing construction, scheduling,
quality, and reporting. -
--- Competent in using MS Office Suite. -
--- Experience with BuildPro, SupplyPro, and the Hyphen ERP. -
--- Ability to work in a fast-paced and growing environment. -
--- Willing to take the initiative, be creative and take ownership.

--- Demonstrate keen attention to detail, and showcase
organizational abilities and leadership qualities. -
--- Strong oral and written communication skills. -
- -Preferred Qualifications: -
--- -BA or MBA in Construction Management. -
--- Experience with a least one construction management system.
