Job Description:
The Unified Communications (UC) Manager is responsible for
administrative and technical oversight for enterprise
communications (CX) across voice, email, chat, text, and social
channels. This position will plan, organize, and direct team
activities and is responsible for the UC system hardware and
software components, maintenance, project coordination, and
strategic oversight - on premises or cloud based. Research,
monitor, maintain and support UC technology. Integration of
real-time, enterprise, communication services and all ancillary
systems, features, and modules. The Manager will ensure effective
operation of the team as a customer-focused, service-oriented unit
providing the highest quality services to the credit union.Normal
Day-to-Day WorkLead Unified Communications team and service
providers to ensure timely resolutions of issues.Implement
opportunities to provide technology efficiencies and operational
improvements.Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery
solutions are in place and periodically tested for contact center
and enterprise UC technologies.Ensure technical documentation
consisting of diagrams, step-by-step procedures, system
configurations, call flows and other pertinent information required
for the voice environment are created and kept updated and
relevant.Lead cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate UC
capacity and planning.Oversee, plan, lead, coordinate, and
collaborate with Technology management along with internal and
external operational partners, as well as external entities as
necessary to lead large-sized projects through the appropriate
phases of implementation and support throughout the
enterprise.Create, monitor and audit the budget requirements for
Telecom, Video, and Voice teams. Assist department leadership in
the preparation of Information Systems plans that outline hardware,
software, and application direction.Coordinate the review and
ongoing management of the business systems project portfolio.
Establish objectives, priorities, time allocations, and deadlines.
Understand business needs and processes for UC and recommend
strategies and solutions. Lead the assessment, justification,
acquisition, development, implementation, and integration of new UC
products and technologies into the organization. Oversee the
maintenance of UC infrastructure. Ensure that all UC-supported
systems stay up-to-date and compliant with updates and security
patches.Determine operating costs, audit systems, and identify
opportunities for system improvement.Provide response and or
mitigations to internal and external audits or assessments as
necessary. Job QualificationsHere are a few skills you MUST have to
be considered for this position.7 - 9 years general Information
Technology experience engineering, designing, installing,
administrating, upgrading, and maintaining mid-to-large scale
telecommunications systems.1 - 3 years of experience as a
telecommunications manager, supervisor, or leader.Fluent knowledge
of modern Unified Communications systems including supporting a
Contact Center.Strong knowledge of network protocols such as H.323,
SIP, DHCP, DNS, etc.Ability to discuss technical issues effectively
with technical professionals as well as non-technical users.Ability
to function in a business office environment and utilize standard
office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier,
telephone, etc.Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes,
computer printer).Travel required on occasion.Here are a few

this position.Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other
engineering or technical discipline.Voice and Network
