Job Description:
The Vice President of Business Solutions will lead the business
system analysis, change control, and quality assurance teams in
ensuring that business and technical requirements are thoroughly
understood and implemented by the supporting technology teams. A
key responsibility of this job is the development, realization, and
support of a highly mature and responsive team that facilitates the
implementation of new and innovative finance and technology
solutions. This role will be responsible for facilitating the
relationship between the enterprise and the technology teams. This
role will also ensure that a mature change control process is
followed and that all systems, solutions, releases, and patches are
adequately tested and documented.Normal Day-to-Day Work
- Lead the development and alignment of the business analysis,
change management, and quality assurance vision with a focus on
enabling service excellence, system flexibility, utilization of
common infrastructure, continuous development, continuous
improvement, and continuous availability.
- Work with the Technology senior leadership team on the service
portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources,
including budget. Work with key stakeholders to measure and
prioritize technical debt remediation.
- Build successful stakeholder relationships with other IT and
business key stakeholders by developing a clear understanding of
business needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and ensuring
cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs.
- Develop and control the annual business solutions budget to
ensure that it's consistent with the overall strategic objectives
of IT and the enterprise and is within plan. Create a culture of
continuous cost optimization.
- Allocate resources and manage staff so that internal systems
are designed, tested, and documented in a manner that is secure,
reliable, manageable, and consistent with credit union business
objectives.
- Develop, implement, and execute quality assurance and testing
policies and procedures for the installation of changes, updates,
patches, and releases.
- Develop, implement, oversee, and execute the technology change
management process in accordance with organization and ITIL
standards that effectively mitigate risk.
- Foster a culture of accountability, authenticity and impact
throughout the Technology department and close the divide between
business and technology. Ensure the consistent and constant
development of all staff to maximize efficiencies while providing
growth opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with diverse leaders, communicate the
Technology department vision and strategy across all levels of the
organization, and build consensus around key initiatives and
project.
- Ensure all enterprise application solutions are properly
adopted and evolving with business needs, are aligned to enterprise
strategy, and supported systems are capable of meeting strategic
goals and projects.
- Maintain and demonstrate expert knowledge of the applications
and systems across the enterprise to ensure they are aligned with
best processes and leading business practices.
- Assume the responsibility and leadership for initiatives or
modifications to existing business process and applications.
Implement potential new software solutions.
- Develop and provide oversight for business architecture models,
business processes diagrams, data models, analyze business to
technical requirements, gap analysis, and represent the program at
required forums.
- Perform gap analysis of existing process models and proposed
enhancements to ensure efficiency in execution and alignment with
strategic goals.Job QualificationsHere are a few skills you MUST
have to be considered for this position.
- 10 - 12 years of professional experience with a minimum of 4
years of management or leadership experience.
- 1 - 3 years of financial services industry experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technology staff and to define
and execute deliverables on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology,
development methodologies (Waterfall/Agile), business
systems/applications, specifically documenting requirements,
business use cases, process flow diagrams and designing for best
use for the business.
- Expert with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Project), SharePoint, task and project management systems.
- Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment
and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to:
PC, copier, telephone, etc.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer
printer).
- Travel required on occasion.Here are a few qualifications we'd

- BA/BS Business, Information Systems Management, Information
Technology or related field degree with an emphasis on technical
systems and business management or analysis.
- Financial institution experience including expertise around
core banking and related applications.
- Certification with CBAP, Project Management or equivalent.
- Experience with workflow modeling.
