Employee Benefits Account Manager -Group Health - FULLY REMOTE - Bilingual Preferred
The Company:
A premier Insurance general agency is currently seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager / Broker Service Representative to assist with their Bay Area Clientele. The staff is supported by a state-of-the-art agency with a professional, experienced team and a progressive culture. This is an Insurance Company that understands the impact that proper healthcare coverage has on individuals and communities. The Company offers a myriad of insurance markets, claims advocacy, and the resources to offer true consulting services and assistance to brokerages of any size.
The Position:
As an Employee Benefits Account Manager / Broker Service Representative, you will assist a talented team of Regional Sales Managers and Client Service Managers witn marketing and renewal processes, and administrative tasks with the goal of offering superior customer service to all clientele. You have the opportunity to work with small, mid, and large-size accounts in one of the fastest-growing offices in the company.
What We Need From You:
Bilingual is preferred but not required but you must have experience working in an independent insurance agency environment, with various size groups, and an understanding of various carriers' underwriting guidelines and coverages. Experience with software systems such as HealthConnect, BenefitPoint or Ease is very helpful. You have to like working with people in a collaborative team environment that is more supportive and cohesive versus a traditional hierarchy structure.
You will also need to:

  • Be Organized - Maintain client records, policy, and employee data in the Client Management System
  • Be Helpful - Assist clients with Benefit Plan support, renewals, and strategic planning for the best overall coverage at the best possible rates
  • Be Strategic - Engage in the annual client strategic benefits planning process and RFP preparation
  • Be Prepared - Work with the marketing department in the preparation of presentations, client communications, and enrollment materials
  • Be an Influencer - Negotiate with Carrier Representatives and Underwriting Departments
  • Be Consultative - Support clients and/or vendors relating to group benefits and associated services
  • Continue to Grow - Continued education of benefit-related issues, regulations, compliance, and online tools
